How to add attachments to your application
You can upload attachments to your online application for housing allowance, start-up loan, or grant using a mobile phone, tablet, or PC.
If you have the attachment on paper:
Take a photo of the attachment
Use your smartphone or tablet. Ensure the following when taking the photo:
- Lay the document flat.
- Ensure good lighting.
- Make sure the image is clear and the document is readable.
To upload the photo to the application, choose one of these steps:
- Log in to the application via the mobile or tablet you used to take the photo and attach the image.
- Email the photo to yourself. Then, save it and upload it from the computer where you are filling out the application.
Scan the attachment
If you have a scanner at home, scan the document and save the file where you can easily find it.
If you use a scanner at a library or another public office, email the scanned document to your email address.
If you have the attachment digitally:
If you have the attachment digitally but can't upload it to the application, it might be in the wrong file type.
We accept these file types for attachments:
- .JPG
- .JPEG
- .PNG
- .GIF
- .BMP
- .TIF
- .TIFF
If your attachment is in a different file type (e.g., .doc or .docx), do the following:
- Open the file.
- Choose "Save As."
- Select file type: "PDF."
- Save the file where you can find it when you need to upload it into the application.
