Incorrect net wealth or tax value of your home

The tax value of your own home is 25% of its assumed market value. You can calculate the tax value of your home using the Tax Administration’s housing calculator. Learn more about the tax value of housing on skatteetaten.no.

You can complain if you live in your own home and the wrong tax value has been used for the property.

How to complain:

  • Complete the complaint form below.
  • You don’t need to document the information
  • Send the complaint in the post to your local municipality’s postal address. You can find the address on the decision letter you received.

You can complain if your net wealth is high because you pay tax on behalf of a child.

How to complain:

  • Complete the complaint form below.
  • You must also complete the form for children’s wealth.
  • Enclose the relevant documentation: a copy of your latest tax assessment or a copy of other documents demonstrating the child’s wealth
