How to appeal against a decision

You can appeal if you believe that the decision on your housing allowance is based on incorrect information. You must submit the appeal within three weeks of receiving the decision.

You can appeal if

you have been granted housing allowance
your application was rejected because your income was too high
your application was rejected because of an incorrect application address or address information

Appealing online makes the process easier and helps us respond more quickly.

How the appeal is processed

Sign in and submit your appeal. If you cannot submit your appeal online, you can use one of the PDF forms below. The PDF states whether you should send it to the municipality or to the Housing Bank. You can get help from the municipality to file an appeal.
The municipality checks that all necessary information is included. If information is missing, the municipality will contact you.
The municipality will send the appeal to the Housing Bank for processing.
The Housing Bank makes a decision and sends it directly to you. The municipality will also be notified of the decision.
If you have any questions about the decision, you must contact the municipality.

Did you receive a negative response to your appeal?

If the Housing Bank does not uphold your appeal, you can submit a new appeal. If the Housing Bank still does not reverse the decision, the Housing Bank will send your appeal to an independent appeal board.
